I am a development professional with more than three decades of experience in India working on design and development of large-scale development projects in India. I am presently working as Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network India. I was working as a Senior Fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy during June 2018- June 2022. As part of UNDP (2009-2018) I have supported bottom of the pyramid clients to improve access to financial services, livelihood opportunities, Skill and entrepreneurship training. I have provided policy and research support to national and international issues related to inclusion and growth. During 1991-2009 I was associated with Small Industries Development Bank of India and was engaged in credit and business development support facilitation to MSME to all segments of the MSMEs. I have worked extensively with the private sector to develop viable models of blended finance in enterprise promotion, skill development, trade facilitation and financial inclusion. My academic training in Economics, Sociology, Development Finance, Industrial Policy, Database Management at leading universities of India and Europe gives me a unique perspective on policy advocacy and implementation. I was awarded the prestigious British Chevening as well as the University Grants Commission Fellowship. I am a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
